Sabrina Rau

Sabrina Rau is a doctoral researcher at Friedrich Alexander University (FAU), focusing on the intersection of business, human rights, and technology. She concurrently serves as a Senior Research Officer in the Human Rights, Big Data and Technology (HRBDT) project at the University of Essex. Her work emphasizes rights, regulation, and remedies in the digital age.

• Education: Honours BA in Political Science & Environmental Studies from University of Toronto; LLM in International Human Rights & Humanitarian Law from University of Essex.

Research interests include business accountability in technology sectors, regulatory frameworks for digital governance, and intersections of environmental policy with human rights. She contributes to interdisciplinary projects like the MA Human Rights program at FAU and the HRBDT initiative. Active in academic outreach, she features in promotional videos for FAU's programs and participated in the FFVT Summer School 2022 on Displacement and Human Rights.
