Sabine Rolle

Sabine Rolle is a Professor and Chair in Student Education (Interdisciplinary Education) at the University of Edinburgh. She serves as Co-Director of Education (Undergraduate) at the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) and Dean of Education for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. With 20 years at the university, she leads undergraduate program development—including the MA (Hons) Interdisciplinary Futures—and collaborates across three colleges to design challenge-led, experiential curricula.

Her research focuses on interdisciplinary pedagogy, innovative assessment methods, and education management. She actively contributes to the university's Curriculum Transformation Project, emphasizing future-facing educational frameworks. Her academic roots span History and Literature.

She directs EFI's undergraduate initiatives with a cross-disciplinary academic team, fostering partnerships between colleges and central institutes.
