Dr. S. Christopher Fuller is a Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Cumberland University, serving as Dean of The Labry School of Science, Technology, and Business since 2016. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics (summa cum laude) from Auburn University, an M.A.M. in Applied Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics.
His research focuses on linear algebra applications, particularly in indefinite inner product spaces, and he solved one of the “Challenges in Matrix Theory” problems during his doctoral work under Frank Uhlig. He has taught extensively across Cumberland’s math, IT, and Master of Public Service Management programs.
Dr. Fuller has received awards including the Auburn Teaching Award and E. Haynesworth Fellowship. Beyond academia, he is an accomplished musician, playing oboe, piano, and percussion, and has been involved in church and community music roles for over a decade. He resides in Lebanon with his wife and two sons.
