Ryszard Stemplowski is a Professor of Political Science at the Institute of Political Science, Akademia Ignatianum in Kraków, Poland. Previously, he served as University Professor at Jagiellonian University (2005–2010), Director of the Polish Institute of International Affairs (1999–2004), and Ambassador to the United Kingdom (1994–1999). His research focuses on Great Powers, 20th-century political history, Latin American studies (Argentina/Chile), Polish foreign policy, and European integration. He has held prestigious fellowships, including the Humboldt Fellowship (1981–1982) and a Visiting Fellowship at St. Antony's College, Oxford (1974).
