Dr. Ruwini Edirisinghe is a Senior Lecturer and Vice-Chancellor’s Research Fellow at RMIT University’s School of PCPM. Her research focuses on digital innovation in the Built Environment, particularly Construction 4.0/5.0 technologies (IoT, BIM, digital twins) applied to facility and construction management. She emphasizes work safety, infrastructure sustainability, and decarbonization. A senior member of IEEE and CIB W078 representative, she advocates gender diversity in engineering since 2012, leading initiatives like Women in Engineering and school outreach programs. With $4.9M in secured grants and awards (including 2023 IEEE Outstanding Volunteer and CIB Vistas Awards), she collaborates with industry and national partners.
