Ruvini Ranasingha

Ruvini Ranasingha serves as Lecturer in Commercial Production (Fresh Produce) at the Writtle School of Agriculture, Animal and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Anglia Ruskin University. She joined ARU in 2023 after over a decade of research, teaching, and consultancy experience with Sri Lanka's Department of Botanic Gardens and Ministry of Agriculture, where she held roles including Development Officer and Research Officer.

She pioneers water conservation innovations while advancing postharvest technologies and plant breeding techniques for tropical horticulture.

Publication Analysis: Her 2010-2017 research centers on floriculture (anthurium/gerbera), demonstrating expertise in organic amendments (vermiwash, elephant dung), micropropagation protocols, and natural disease control. Publications reveal consistent focus on sustainable alternatives to chemical inputs across tropical crop systems.

Academic Leadership: She supervises research in sustainable agriculture and climate resilience while teaching BSc Horticulture, MSc Crop Production, and MBA Agribusiness programs.
