Dr. Scott Wright is the Director of the University of Saskatchewan's (USask) Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence (LFCE), a globally unique research facility. He holds an MSc in Animal Science and a PhD in Plant Breeding from USask, integrating expertise in both livestock and crop systems.
His research interests focus on sustainable agricultural practices, particularly in livestock nutrition, forage production, and plant breeding for agricultural resilience. Prior to joining USask in 2021, Wright spent eight years in leadership roles at the Star Group, a fresh produce industry organization, where he served as Senior Vice-President, Head Grower, and Interim General Manager.
