Ruth Wagstaff is Lecturer in Psychology at Charles Darwin University and founding chair of the Adult Development and Chronic Conditions (ADACC) research group. Her work examines psychological aspects of aging, including chronic pain management, frailty, future thinking in chronic illness, and optimal health across adulthood.
Current projects investigate motivation for AI adoption in education, psychology of ACL injuries, and relaxation techniques in sports performance. Recent publications analyze Alzheimer's biomarkers and HIV neurocognitive disorder screening protocols. Supervises postgraduate research in health psychology and chronic condition management.
