Ruth Murray-Webster

Ruth Murray-Webster is an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, specializing in organizational change, risk management, and project leadership. She brings over 35 years of industry experience, including roles as Director, Change Portfolio at a major port operator and Group Head of Risk at KPMG LLP. She holds an Executive Doctorate in organizational change from Cranfield School of Management.

Her research focuses on the intersection of risk and organizational transformation, particularly the behavioral dimensions of project and program success. She has co-authored five books and contributed to major publications such as the Association for Project Management Body of Knowledge (7th ed., 2019) and the Chartered Institute of Building's Code of Practice for Project Management (6th ed., 2022).

Ruth’s work emphasizes practical frameworks for educated risk-taking and sustainable change. She serves on the Home Office Audit and Risk Assurance Committee and was honored with an Honorary Fellowship from the Association for Project Management (2013).
