Rustin Reed

Dr. Rustin Reed is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of Industrial Hygiene at Tulane University's Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Department of Environmental Health Sciences. He holds a PhD in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Arizona, an MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health, and a BS in Public Health: Health Sciences from Brigham Young University. A Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with over 10 years of mining industry experience, he is an MSHA-Approved and OSHA-Authorized instructor.

His research focuses on occupational exposure assessments including heat, noise, silica, and diesel exhaust, alongside innovative applications of serious games and machine learning to enhance workplace safety. He leads Bowen EHS's Online CIH Review Course and has managed research projects exceeding $10 million in value.
