Russell Field

Russell Field is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, University of Manitoba. His research focuses on socio-cultural dimensions of sport and physical activity, particularly historical analyses of global sporting events as sites of resistance, people’s history, and sport’s intersection with visual culture. He holds a PhD from the University of Toronto (2008) and degrees from Queen’s University.
