Roy Taylor

Professor Roy Taylor, FREng, FRS, is Professor of Ultrafast Physics and Technology at Imperial College London's Department of Physics. He leads the Femtosecond Optics Group focusing on ultrashort pulse generation and applications in nonlinear processes, with commercial applications in optical fiber systems. His research bridges fundamental physics and practical technology development.

Research Interests: Development of temporally and spectrally versatile optical systems, nonlinear interactions in optical fibers, and commercial applications of ultrafast laser technology.
