Roy Anthony Thompson, PhD, RN is an Assistant Professor and health services researcher at Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, City University of New York. Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Thompson brings international experience to his work focusing on nursing workforce issues in long-term care settings.
Dr. Thompson's research program examines the intersections of healthcare workforce, long-term care services, health disparities, and health policy. His work specifically investigates the impact of internationally educated nurses on long-term care health systems and explores nursing staff patterns and health disparities in nursing homes serving older adults.
