Ross P. Cameron is a Professor and Director of the Undergraduate Program in the Corcoran Department of Philosophy at the University of Virginia. He holds a M.A. and M.Phil. from the University of Glasgow, and a Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews. His research focuses on metaphysics, philosophy of logic, formal logic, philosophy of mathematics, epistemology, and aesthetics. He has published influential works such as Chains of Being: Infinite Regress, Circularity, and Metaphysical Explanation and The Moving Spotlight: An Essay on Time and Ontology, as well as co-editing The Routledge Companion to Metaphysics. His work addresses foundational questions about time, possibility, existence, truth, and the nature of metaphysical explanation.
