About
Ross A. Widenhoefer is Professor of Chemistry at Duke University. His research develops organotransition metal-catalyzed reactions, focusing on gold(I) complexes for functionalizing C-C bonds and mechanistic studies. Current work examines protodeauration kinetics and gold cyclopentadienyl complexes.
Research groups: Organic Synthesis and Catalysis. Funded by NSF, DOE, and ACS for projects on multi-state catalysts and carbene transfer.
