About
Yiming Wang is Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh, leading research in organic synthesis and catalysis. His lab develops novel catalytic methods for challenging bond formations.
Research focuses on asymmetric synthesis, C-H functionalization, and main group catalysis. Recent work pioneers bismuth-catalyzed reactions and regiodivergent palladium catalysis for complex molecule synthesis.
The Wang Lab employs computational modeling and mechanistic studies to design catalysts for stereoselective transformations of unsaturated systems. Current projects investigate transition metal and main group element catalysis.
