Rose Michael is Senior Lecturer in Writing & Publishing and Program Manager of the Bachelor of Arts (Creative Writing) at RMIT University. An award-winning novelist and critic, she explores speculative fiction, creative practice research, and the impacts of AI on publishing. Her novel 'The Asking Game' was shortlisted for the Vogel Award, and recent articles examine ethics in generative AI editing.
Michael received multiple awards including the 2024 City North Activation Award and 2023 Research Collaboration commendation. She leads projects on digital pedagogy in creative writing and has held residencies at Varuna and Bundanon.
