Roman Kołacz

Roman Kołacz, born in 1947 in Kobylany, is a Polish veterinarian and professor of agricultural sciences primarily affiliated with the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, where he served as Rector from 2008 to 2016 and as Vice-Rector from 2002 to 2008. He also holds a professorship at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Agricultural University in Wrocław in 1973, earned his doctorate in 1977, completed habilitation in 1985, and was awarded full professorship on October 18, 1995. His academic journey reflects deep roots in veterinary sciences within Polish agricultural institutions.

Professor Kołacz's research specializes in ecotoxicology, veterinary prophylaxis, zoohygiene, environmental hygiene, and animal welfare.
