Roger McIntyre serves as Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the University of Toronto and Head of the Mood Disorders Psychopharmacology Unit at University Health Network. He concurrently holds leadership roles as Executive Director of the Brain and Cognition Discovery Foundation and director for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) in Chicago.
His educational background includes a medical degree from Dalhousie University followed by Psychiatry residency training and Fellowship in Psychiatric Pharmacology at the University of Toronto.
Dr. McIntyre's research centers on mood disorders with emphasis on cognitive impairment mechanisms and medical comorbidities like diabetes/obesity.
