Dr. Caleb M. Adler is a Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Research and is the co-director of the Division of Bipolar Disorders Research and Director of the Center for Imaging Research.
Dr. Adler received his Bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University and his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College of the Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Georgetown University Medical Center, where he was a Chief Resident, and a Senior Staff Fellowship in the Experimental Therapeutics Branch of the National Institute of Mental Health. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (Psychiatry), with certification dating back to March 31, 1998, and recertified through January 15, 2022.
Dr. Adler's primary research focuses on the use of neuroimaging techniques to study both healthy cognitive processes and the neuropathophysiology of bipolar and psychotic disorders, as well as the psychopharmacologic treatment of bipolar disorder. His work spans multiple domains including bipolar disorder, mood disorders, neuroimaging, psychopharmacology, and major depressive disorder.
