Rodney Klein

Rodney L. Klein is a Professor of Psychology and Director of the McNair Scholars Program at Concord University's College of Science, Mathematics, and Health. He holds a Ph.D. in Learning/Cognitive Psychology from the University of New Mexico (1997), preceded by an M.S. from New Mexico Highlands University (1990) and a B.A. from Central College (1985).

Research Interests span three main areas: (1) context effects in classical conditioning and alcohol consumption; (2) formation of within-context associations; and (3) cognitive intersections between scientific, religious, and paranormal belief systems. His work combines experimental psychology with epistemological analysis.

Academic Leadership includes directing the federally funded McNair Scholars Program, which prepares first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students for doctoral studies. He previously taught at Adams State College before joining Concord University.
