Rodney Forster

Prof Rodney Forster is a Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Hull, leading the Hull Marine Laboratory. He specializes in coastal seas and offshore wind farm impacts, with teaching roles in marine biology modules like Oceanography and Coastal Seas. His research focuses on kelp ecosystems, wind farm environmental effects, and seagrass restoration. He supervises PhD students and leads grants totaling over £1.2M, including projects like REWRITE and eSWEETS. Notable collaborations include work with RWE and EU partners. Prof Forster also serves as an external examiner and peer reviewer for journals and grants.
