Laura Govers

Prof. Laura Govers is an Associate Professor in Marine Ecology at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Science and Engineering, affiliated with the Groningen Institute for Evolutionary Life Sciences. She holds a Senior Researcher position at the Royal NIOZ. Her research focuses on coastal ecosystem functioning, seagrass ecology, and conservation strategies in environments like the Wadden Sea and tropical regions. She has led and collaborated on projects such as the Waddensleutels food web study and the restoration of Wadden Island Griend.
