Roderick Bailey is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford's Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities and the Oxford Centre for the History of Science, Medicine and Technology. He specializes in the history of medicine, particularly focusing on blood transfusion in conflict zones, disease control in war environments, and the mental health impacts of resistance movements. Dr. Bailey holds a PhD and was an Alistair Horne Fellow at St Antony’s College. His research has been supported by grants from the Royal Army Medical Corps Charity and the Wellcome Trust.
