Robin T. Bowen

Robin T. Bowen is an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University, serving as Minor Coordinator for Forensic and Investigative Science. Her academic work integrates Ethics, Crime Scene Investigation, and Forensic Science, with a focus on instructional design and professional education. She holds an Ed.D. in Instructional Design and Technology from WVU.

She investigates cultural pressures within forensic professions that may lead to unethical behavior, merging insights from Ethics, General Forensics, and Instructional Design.

Professional Contributions: She previously led the Forensic Science Initiative as Assistant Director, developing research, training, and resources for forensic professionals. Dr. Bowen authored the book Ethics and the Practice of Forensic Science, served on the Outreach and Communication Interagency Working Group (NSTC on Forensics), and contributed to the Encyclopedia of Forensic Sciences editorial advisory board. She also pioneered the Forensic Educational Alliance, offering online continuing education in forensic science.
