Robin Simcox

Robin Simcox serves as a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of War Studies within the School of Security Studies, Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy at King's College London. Previously, he held the UK government position of Commissioner for Countering Extremism from March 2021 to July 2025, advising six consecutive Home Secretaries across both Conservative and Labour administrations on extremism policy.

His academic credentials include a Master of Science in US foreign policy from the Institute for the Study of the Americas (University of London) and a Bachelor of Arts in History (International) from the University of Leeds. This foundation supports his specialized focus on transnational security threats.
