Robin Burrow is a Senior Lecturer in Organization Studies at the University of York’s School for Business and Society. Previously, he held positions at Cardiff University and completed his PhD and MSc in Organization Studies at the University of Warwick. His research focuses on extreme work environments, particularly the interplay between emotions, organizational behavior, and institutional dynamics. He has conducted fieldwork in elite kitchens, veterinary clinics, and healthcare settings, exploring themes like fear-driven work cultures, identity construction through suffering, and the proliferation of nonreality-based organizational beliefs.
