Robin Buccheri is Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco School of Nursing and Health Professions. Elected Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2010, her work focuses on evidence-based psychiatric nursing interventions.
Research centers on behavioral management of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia and international dissemination of evidence-based symptom management protocols. Developed the 10-12 Session Behavioral Management Courses for auditory hallucinations and anxiety, implemented globally across the US, Canada, Australia, Thailand, and Japan.
Teaching expertise includes psychiatric/mental health nursing with specialization in auditory hallucination management, community/public health nursing, evidence-based practice, and theory development. Recipient of multiple awards including the University Research Award and Mentor Award from Sigma Theta Tau.
Leads ongoing research on integrating anxiety reduction techniques into auditory hallucination management protocols and refines dissemination methods globally. Active in community mental health initiatives including co-facilitating support groups for individuals experiencing auditory hallucinations.
