Robert Warrior is the Hall Distinguished Professor of American Literature and Culture at the University of Kansas and a citizen of the Osage Nation. His scholarship focuses on Native American intellectual traditions and literary studies. He has authored and coauthored influential works in the field and served as Past President of the American Studies Association and Founding President of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association (NAISA).
His research interests include:
- Indigenous intellectual traditions
- Native American literary criticism
- Indigenous studies
- Cultural and literary nationalism
He has held editorial leadership roles, including Founding Co-Editor of Native American and Indigenous Studies and editing the Indigenous Americas series at the University of Minnesota Press. He has taught at Stanford University, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Illinois.
