Dr. Robert Turick is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Indiana Tech's College of Business. His office is located in Cunningham Hall, Room 215C, with office hours MTWR 1pm–3pm. He teaches courses including Principles of Management, Sport Leadership and Ethics, and Sport Economics and Financial Analysis.
Robert earned his Ph.D. in Sport Management from the University of Florida (2018), an M.Ed. from Bowling Green State University (2014), and a B.S. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2012). His professional experience includes roles as Assistant Director of Research at the NCAA and Assistant Professor at Ball State University. At the NCAA, he managed survey operations and researched student-athlete graduation rates and well-being.
His research focuses on student-athlete development, diversity in sport management, international student-athlete support, and event legacies. He has published 22 peer-reviewed papers and presented at conferences including the North American Society for Sport Management and the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation. His work emphasizes equity, inclusion, and practical solutions for challenges faced by athletes and institutions.
Robert has advised students such as R. Feller, T. Skinner, and N. Swim on research projects. His teaching and research reflect a commitment to bridging academic theory with real-world sport management practices.
