Robert Strzebkowski

Prof. Robert Strzebkowski is a Professor of Interactive Media/Hypermedia/Human Computer Interaction at Berlin University of Technology. He leads the Laboratory for Film & Television within the Department VI - Computer Science and Media, overseeing technical renewal and curriculum development for Screen-Based Media programs. His research focuses on practice-based applications of Extended Reality (XR), interactive storytelling, and edutainment, collaborating with organizations like ZDF and SAP.

Education: Studied Media Production and E-Learning at TU Berlin, earned his PhD from Free University Berlin (2002) on multimedia didactics for vocational training. Teaches modules including Human-Computer Interaction, Real-Time Media Systems, and Master Projects involving industry partnerships.

Research highlights include AR/MR companion apps for TV series ('Bergrett AR'), cross-platform XR interaction techniques, and WebTV platform development ('beuthBOX'). Presented at IFA Berlin, EBU, and ICAT-EGVE conferences. Currently advancing immersive media infrastructure through university digitalization initiatives.
