Robert Stevens is a Professor of English Private Law at the University of Oxford, affiliated with Lady Margaret Hall. He previously held roles as a Professor at University College London (UCL), a Lecturer at the University of Oxford, and a Fellow and Tutor in Law at Lady Margaret Hall (1994–2007). His academic career spans teaching and research in Commercial Law, with global engagements in Commonwealth countries (Australia, Canada) and Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Spain).
Stevens earned his undergraduate law degree and Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from the University of Oxford. He was called to the Bar in 1992.
