Robert Sata is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at the Central European University (CEU). He previously served as an Associate Research Fellow. His work focuses on populist discourse, identity politics, and minority rights. Sata holds a PhD in Political Science from CEU, alongside multiple MA and BA degrees from institutions including the International University of Japan and American University in Bulgaria.
His research explores themes such as ethnic relations, gender politics, and migration policies. Notable projects include CUPESSE (cultural pathways to economic self-sufficiency) and MAXCAP (EU integration capacity). He has taught at CEU's Budapest and Vienna campuses, as well as McDaniel College and Babeș-Bolyai University.
