Dr. Robert Markham serves as Senior Tutor in Piano at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Birmingham City University, where he combines an active international performance career with dedicated music education. His students consistently achieve top honors in major competitions, including BBC Young Musician 2018 winner Lauren Zhang.

His educational journey began at Chetham's School of Music under Heather Slade-Lipkin, followed by advanced studies at Juilliard School with Oxana Yablonskaya and Samuel Sanders, culminating in a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. This rigorous training under renowned pedagogues informs his distinctive teaching methodology.
