Robert Kruszewski

Robert Kruszewski serves as Vice-Dean of the College of Economic Analysis and Head of the Department of Mathematical Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). With a strong background in mathematics and economics, he holds positions both at SGH and through teaching cooperation with the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Warsaw.

Professor Kruszewski's research centers on mathematical economics with particular emphasis on dynamical systems, bifurcation theory, and chaos theory. His work applies advanced mathematical techniques to economic modeling, especially in understanding economic cycles and nonlinear dynamics in economic systems. His publications demonstrate a consistent focus on nonlinear models including Hicks and Kaldor economic cycle models, examining periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic behaviors within these frameworks.

As an academic leader, Kruszewski supervises bachelor's and master's theses at SGH and has successfully promoted two doctoral dissertations (2018, 2019). He has been a member of research teams securing national-level grants since 2012, contributing significantly to economic research in Poland. His work bridges pure mathematical theory with practical economic applications, particularly in understanding complex economic dynamics through nonlinear modeling approaches.
