Robert Cook

Robert Cook is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and is a qualified ICAEW chartered accountant. Before entering academia, he worked for over three years at PwC in London and Milan, specializing in personal taxation.

His teaching responsibilities include:

• Joint Level 5 Year Tutor for BSc Accounting and Finance
• Unit Leader for 'Management Accounting and Business Operations' (Level 5)
• Unit Leader for 'Financial Management for Managers' (Level 4)
• Instruction on the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and Help to Grow programmes

Prior to joining Manchester Metropolitan in 2022, he spent four years teaching professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) at Kaplan Financial in Manchester, specializing in management accounting and financial management. He holds Fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy.
