Robert Anderson

Robert Anderson is an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at the University of Maine at Augusta. His scholarly work examines architectural history through lenses of cross-cultural education, phenomenology, and social constructions, with special focus on Modernism and Scandinavian architecture. A Fulbright Scholar (2007) and recipient of the Boston Society of Architects Excellence in Teaching Award (2018), Professor Anderson has taught internationally including at SCAD Hong Kong.

His research challenges Western architectural canons while exploring sacred/profane spatial dynamics. Anderson has published on Norwegian architectural tradition and leads architectural tours through his company PTown Tours. He participated in a US State Department grant developing curricula for Pakistan's National College of Arts.
