Robert Altenburg is an Adjunct Professor at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) in the Leadership & Org Management Aviation department at the Lancaster branch. He currently serves as Senior Director for Energy and Climate at Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future (PennFuture), a nonprofit environmental organization. Previously, he spent 22 years at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in the Bureau of Air Quality and Policy Office. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve, commanding a Combat Engineer Company, and is active in the Civil Air Patrol as a mission pilot and squadron commander. Altenburg holds a B.S. in Earth Science from Clarion University and a J.D. from Widener Commonwealth School of Law, licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
