Robert Allan

Dr. Robert Allan is the School Director of Teaching and Learning at the School of Applied Sciences, University of Huddersfield. He is a member of the Centre for Human and Physical Geography and the Centre for Climate Resilient Societies. With over 20 years of experience, his work focuses on widening participation in Higher Education and addressing barriers faced by students from under-represented groups like BAME and white working-class males.

• Education Research: Student transition, engagement mechanisms, widening participation, and social inclusion.
• Chemistry Research: Anion-binding cryptands, phosphate sequestration, and supramolecular chemistry.
