Richard Preziosi

Richard Preziosi is Professor and Head of the School of Biological and Marine Sciences at the University of Plymouth, and Director of the Centre of Research Excellence in Intelligent and Sustainable Productive Systems (CRISPS).

His research examines genetic diversity in conservation contexts, sustainable agriculture, and ecosystem management. He investigates how genetic variation affects species resilience and community dynamics across terrestrial and aquatic systems.

Recent publications focus on marine conservation genetics, agricultural sustainability, and biodiversity monitoring techniques. His £5.7M CRISPS initiative addresses global food security challenges through agricultural technology innovation.
