Aaron Jessop is a Researcher and Doctoral Teaching Assistant at the School of Biological and Marine Sciences, University of Plymouth. His current PhD research evaluates the effectiveness of biodiversity monitoring methodologies for marine benthic communities and investigates climate change impacts on Antarctic marine ecosystems. Additionally, he explores variation in invasive success of freshwater fish, focusing on species-level traits and individual heterogeneity in invasion outcomes. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to life below water and sustainable cities.
Research Interests: Marine Benthic Ecology, Climate Change Biology, Invasive Species Dynamics, Freshwater Ecosystem Management, Ecological Monitoring Techniques, Antarctic Ecosystem Resilience.
