Richard Frost

Richard Frost is a Lecturer in the Sustainability and Environmental Studies department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he teaches courses like ENV 201: Introduction to Environmental Studies. His career spans diverse experiences, including 30 years teaching history and earth science in La Crosse Public Schools and a formative period living in a yoga ashram in India.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Biology minor from UW-Stevens Point; Master’s Degree in Education from UW-La Crosse (1983)

Research Interests: Focus on environmental history, natural history, and experiential education, with a regional emphasis on the La Crosse River Marsh. His teaching philosophy integrates interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability and environmental studies.
