Richard Brown

Richard Brown is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Psychology & Mental Health at the School of Health Sciences, University of Manchester. He serves as Head of Division and previously as ClinPsyD Programme Director (2011-2023). His work bridges clinical practice and research, with a focus on functional neurological disorders (FND) and psychodynamic interpersonal therapy (PIT).

Key clinical collaborations include partnerships with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (2014-present) and Manchester Mental Health & Social Care Trust (2004-2014). His work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for mental health and wellbeing.
