Dr. Richard Bellis is an Associate Lecturer in Medical Humanities at the University of St Andrews' School of Medicine. He holds a PhD from the University of Leeds (2019) focusing on Matthew Baillie's contributions to morbid anatomy in 18th- to 19th-century Britain. His research spans the history of anatomy, pathology, and science communication, with a focus on medical museums, ethics of human remains, and digital humanities applications in medical history. He also investigates how medical humanities can be effectively integrated into medical school curricula.
