Riccardo Rovelli is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna. He holds the title of Alma Mater Professor since 2022 and teaches courses on EU economics, including Economics of the EU (graduate level). Previously, he served as a Full Professor (Professore ordinario) from 1997 to 2022 at the same institution, with prior roles at Università di Parma, Università di Cagliari, and Università Bocconi. His research focuses on EU political economy, post-socialist transition, macroeconomic divergence, monetary/fiscal policies, and labor market institutions. He has authored over 100 publications, including Labor market institutions and policies in old and new EU members (2024) and Introduction to the Issue on Green Transition (2023). Rovelli is affiliated with IZA and serves on editorial boards of key journals.
