Rhona Lohan

Rhona Lohan is a PhD candidate in English Linguistics at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) under Dr. Emma Dafouz-Milne. She holds an MA in TESOL (Distinction) from the University of Birmingham and a BA in English & Italian Literature from University College Dublin. Currently, she serves as an Instructor in Modern Languages and Scientific Investigation at ESIC University since 2006. Her research focuses on English-medium education impacts in universities and employment disability inclusion. She is a member of ICLHE and presented at their 2022 conference in Maastricht.

Key achievements include a Higher Education Academy Fellowship in the UK and co-authorship of a 2022 publication in the Journal of Enterprising Communities, analyzing disability-employment dynamics through bibliometric tools. Her work highlights socioeconomic barriers to inclusion and informs policy development.
