Rhea Milson

Dr Rhea Milson is a Lecturer in Counselling Psychology at York St John University, affiliated with the School of Education, Language and Psychology. She holds HCPC registration as a Counselling Psychologist and is a Chartered Psychologist with the BPS. Her qualifications include a DCounPsy (2022) and BSc in Psychology (2019).

• Research Focus: Body image, perfectionism, social media's impact on young women, and trainee psychologists' wellbeing
• Teaching: Modules include Research Methods, Adolescent Development, and Professional Counselling Psychology
• Professional Roles: BPS RAPPS Supervisor, Clinical Group Supervisor for Doctorate in Counselling Psychology

Recent Work: Published in Journal of Media Psychology (2024) on Instagram's role in perfectionism and body satisfaction. Presented at the Institute for Health and Care Improvement Annual Research Showcase (2024).
