Regulus Allen

Dr. Regulus Allen is an Associate Professor of English at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Her research examines Restoration literature, British Romanticism, and African American literary traditions through intersectional frameworks. She is currently completing a monograph titled Vacant Spaces: Imaginings of the African Woman in British Literature, 1688-1838.

Research Focus: Her work investigates representations of race, gender, and empire in transatlantic literary contexts, with particular attention to the construction of African female identities in British narratives. She employs postcolonial and feminist theoretical approaches.

Publication Trends: Dr. Allen's scholarship demonstrates consistent focus on 18th-19th century British literature, with thematic emphasis on speculative fiction, racial representation, and economic metaphors in literary texts.
