Mira Rosenthal

Mira Rosenthal serves as an Associate Professor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she co-directs the Creative Writing Program. Her academic home appears to be within the College of Liberal Arts, focusing on English literature and creative writing.

Dr. Rosenthal's research interests center on Creative Writing, Modern and Contemporary Poetry, Comparative Literature, and Translation Studies, with particular expertise in Polish literature. Her scholarly work bridges American and Eastern European literary traditions through both original poetry and translation.

Her publications include the poetry collections Territorial (2022) and The Local World (2011), along with multiple translations of Polish poetry including Tomasz Różycki's To the Letter (2023), which has received significant critical acclaim and numerous awards.
