Reem Bahdi is Dean and Associate Professor at University of Windsor Faculty of Law. She holds a JD and LLM from University of Toronto and is the first Palestinian law dean in North America.
Research Focus: Examines access to justice in Palestine, torture complicity in counterterrorism, and human rights protections. Leads KARAMAH project promoting judicial independence in Palestine through education and research.
Leadership: Secured $7M for judicial education initiatives in Palestine. Former Editor-in-Chief of Windsor Yearbook of Access to Justice and Associate Dean at Windsor Law.
Awards: Received Guthrie Medal for access to justice work, Hala Salam Maksoud Award, Outstanding Arab Canadian Achievement Award, and Royal Society of Canada recognition.
Advocacy: Provides expert testimony on racial profiling and national security discrimination. Consultant on women's access to justice in MENA region.
